Acoustic and open mic nights
Leicester trio Ruby Blue played a set of atmospheric covers, opening with a piece by Sonny Boy Williamson. The two guitarists and lead female vocalist played a very entertaining set of songs to the audience, who also enjoyed sampling some of the fine indian cuisine of this excellent restaurant. Their set included songs by Robert Johnson - king of the Delta Blues - and Freddy King, all beautifully delivered and going down well with the nibbles and cocktails. A very pleasing combination of good music and fine food on a warm and sunny June evening. A good set of moody and atmospheric blues songs by Ruby Blue, a band that I would definitely like to hear again.
