Acoustic singers and solo artists awards

Arts in Leicestershire is pleased to announce the winners of the best new acoustic Act 2008:

TAME THE SEASON

Musicians Joe Hubbard and Tom Marson (both 17) joined together to play under the name Tame The Season and entered the Battle of the Acoustics 2008 held at the Shed Live Music Venue in April 2008. At the grand final, they were selected by the judges to be the winners of the Best New Act 2008.

These two gifted young musicians wrote a set of compelling and tuneful songs which they performed admirably. Lyrical, catchy melodies and a strong stage performance made them stand out among a very experienced lineup of artists.

Their song writing was of a high standard with memorable melodies and clear articulation, they enchanted the audience and clearly had put a lot of effort into their set.

If they keep working on songs of this quality, they will soon emerge as one of the strongest acoustic acts in Leicestershire. So we wish them all the best and every success.
