Guitarist Wanted

We're an established, original and very tight jazz/rock/latin/avant band looking for a new guitarist. Our previous guitarist has a new job which involves lots of travelling abroad. Hopefuls should be able to read tab or dots reasonably well because the music is scored. An ability to improvise is desirable. Rehearsals take place on Monday evenings. We need a skilled player with a ballsy vintage sound. If you're only in it for the money, leave us alone. Current line up: drums, bass, tenor sax, alto sax, trumpet.

We practice twice week in our own practice room in leicester city centre which cost £10 a week per member. Also we have gigs around the country booked and more in the pipeline. Also in 2012 we plan on doing some form of recording that maybe an ep, mini album or full length bitchin album! This requires alot of commitment and hard work. Experienced studio engineer required for an established Leicester City Centre based recording studio.

The studio has been established for four years, working with predominantly urban artists. We are now seeking to expand into the live band arena and therefore require a dedicated engineer with experience of working within this environment who is also eager to work with the business in attracting this new clientele.

This is an excellent opportunity to work for a progressive studio, to be involved in building a client base and reputation and the rewards that stem from that. We are looking for an outgoing, social person, who enjoys networking and meeting people; Self motivated and with a not giving up attitude.

You will be working on a self-employed basis with an attractive pay scheme to be discussed at the interview stage.

Job Description: - Carrying out recording sessions, mixing and mastering to a high standard - Building your own client-base, handling enquiries through calls and e-mails. - Expanding the studio's client-base through promotional activities including flyering, online (Facebook, Twitter etc) and networking. - Putting forward ideas to actively seek new customers and promote the studio.

Person Specification: - Experience of recording and working with bands (Essential) - Experience in working within a digital studio, using Apple Mac computers/ Logic Pro (Essential) - Excellent communication and enthusiastic attitude (Essential) - Knowledge of local bands/ local music scene (Desirable)

The successful candidate will be provided with a business phone and with have the ability to choose their own working hours and manage their diary.
