Thomas Shepherd at the OBS Unplugged, Musician, 6th January

Thomas Shepherd was among the acts appearing at the first session of OBS Unplugged. A strong lineup of acts included Leicester acoustic band Ferris.

OBS Unplugged is a series of showase gigs organised by VJT Promotions, the people who are behind the Original Bands Showcase events that take place each year.

Thomas Shepherd delighted the full house with his fine rich voice and engaging songs and exquisite guitar playing.

His sensitive vocalisation displayed when passion when the song called for it and demonstrated that he was an arist of high calibre.

Four piece acoustic band Ferris delivered an engaging set of songs. Ferris told us: "we have been off the road for a long time but are making a come back." With ear-pleasing vocals and well orchestrated instrumentals with the sparkly string playing, their set was warmly received by the (full) audience. They ended their set with a blue-grass tune.

The finale of the OBS Unplugged takes place on Thursday 27th January at the Musician and will be well worth seeing as it will include ten of the top acoustic acts. More information from Facebook.
