**Shows for Christmas and the new year**

Leicester's live music scene will be as busy as ever over the next two months. Despite the cold, dark nights, there are many warm and inviting venues waiting to welcome you to some great nights of live music.

**Wednesday 21st January.**

Arts in Leicestershire is sponsoring an indie showcase at THE MUSICIAN in Clyde Street, featuring five of the best indie bands in Leicester/shire. The Chairmen, Autohype, Razmataz, The Heroes and Kids in Cars will all be on the line up of this unique event, which will also be a benefit night for OXJAM, The music festival for the charity Oxfam.

**This Friday - December 12th**

The Grand Final of the Silver Bullet Battle of the Bands takes place this Friday at the Pavilion venue on Victoria Park, London Road.
Doors open at 7 p.m. for this final leg to the competition to find the best band out of 8 finalists. Entrance is FREE and the first band will play at 7.30 p.m. This is set to be one amazing night of great music from some of the best local bands. Well worth being there if you love all kinds of live music.
