Feature: The Original Bands Showcase 2012

This is the home page for the obs section

This section reviews the shows run under the the Original Bands Showcase (OBS) series, promoted by VJT Promotions of Leicester. We plan to attend each of the shows - right through to the final - and review every band that plays.

The first show took place on Friday 9th March at the Musician and the grand final is set for Saturday 19th May.

OBS BANDS 2012

The Grand Final - 19th May

Preparations for the Grand Final on Saturday 19th May are underway. The show will be a sell-out gig, so fans are advised to arrive early to avoid queuing. There are no advance tickets and doors open at 8 p.m.

There are extensive roadworks in Humberstone Gate, which is closed off. So there is no access to Humberstone Gate from Charles Street. By car you should be able to enter Humberstone Road from the big roundabout on the ring road and then turn right into CLYDE STREET. The Musician is at the bottom of Clyde Street. Otherwise, enter from Grafton Street West.

Reporters at the OBS attend to write these reviews. None of our staff are judges at these events and our work is independent of the organisers of the OBS series.
