Produkty are comprised of Andy (Vocals/Guitar), Jason (Guitar), Kerry (Bass) and Nikki (Drums), the boy-girl dynamics of the band giving them a sort of indie-Abba vibe. The band's debut EP features the live favourites Girlfriend Gone, Torn My Secret, All Over Yourself and Probably Will. The follow up (The Fat Nerves EP) features the new tracks Fuck The Planet (And Everybody On It), Still Life, Boom Yeah! And Rock N Roll Has Made Fools Of You All, and will be released in March 2010.

Room 300

room 300

This band was formed in september 2008, the members are:
Danny Oldfield-Guitar
Nathan Brawn-Bass
Daisy Richards-Vocals
Kyle Palmer-Drums
Kyle and Daisy are 15, Nathan and Danny are 14. They play covers from bands like Paramore or Weezer but they have been writing their own songs too. They love all type of music like: including Muse.

Seventh Empire

seventh empire

A young band that has been playing at The Shed and some other local venues. The threesome formed in October 08 but now have a fourth member. They play a mixture of own songs and covers and display a fairly good level of skills and vocals. A talented young band that should do well. They will be playing at the Glastonbudget Festival in 2010.

Zinium

A new four piece band playing a punky-metally sound; they have been together for about a year and come from Oadby. They have a strong lead vocalist (Rob) and are planning to write some new material over the year ahead.

The Fuss

the fuss at the shed

The band formed about two years ago but the current lineup was put together in August 2008. The band made its debut at Melton's Big Night Out 5 in October '08. The pop rock quartet just play what they think is good and judging by their music they know what is good. Over the next few months the band plans to do some decent recordings to replace the rough cuts current on their Myspace. The band also played at Big Night Out 6 and in October '08 they performed at the Valefest event. They competed in the Live and Unsigned competition, where they performed at The Assembly in Leamington Spa and The Corn Exchange in Bedford. They got through to the semi-finals of the competition and also played at a private function at the National Space Centre in Leicester.

The Fuss are on a par with other young bands such as Astromaniacs, Third Time Lucky, The Hordes and Beauty Killed the Beast. These are bands with considerable talent, making great strides despite comparatively little experience but they clearly have a strong sense of what good music is all about and have star quality and lots of future potential.

Silver Lining

A trio comprising Nick (17) , Amy (15) and Josh (17). Together they make somewhat experimental acoustic rock songs with a goodly dose of verve and creativity. Delightful and engaging.

Electrical Language

A three piece indie/soul band, consisting of Darren Jones (guitar vocals and pedal steel), Kris grant (bass), and Sam Hall (drums/backing vocals). The band was formed in mid 2008. The band is building up their following and plans to branch out soon.

The Wry Dogs

The Wry Dogs write melody driven tunes about everything from global conflicts and crazed ex girlfriends to their constant pursuit of domestic bliss. They are currently recording material for an album to be released on iTunes towards the end of 2009, with new live dates to follow shortly thereafter.

Bloodstruck

Thrash metal band Bloodstruck have got them selves out there and are busily playing gigs around Leicester. The three peice are hoping to record their first tracks soon.

The Cutt

The Cut have been together for about 6 months practicing new material (Olly and Andy where in a band called pictures paint words for 7 years before) and our genre is kind of indie rock/alternative/prog rock sounding. Influences mainly Braid, Sunnyday Real Estate,Led Zepplin, The Cure, At The Drive In, Smiths, Mars Volta, Pink Floyd, Stooges etc. Olly Bennett 28 (me): guitar/vocals, Simon Mayfield 23 : guitar, Hannah Henson 22: Drums, Andy Malony 27: Bass. all live in leicester except Andy (nuneaton boy)

Ricochet

We are Ricochet and we are pretty new to the Leicester scene and have been together for a few months now. We are all 17 and are good friends of the Pickpockets.

We have played a couple of gigs at The Shed and The Musician and have recorded one of our tracks yesterday titled 'Ready, Aim, Fire'. It is now up on our profile because we only created a myspace recently.

We are in the process of getting to know people and trying to play as often as possible to get our music heard.

Aromattics

Leicester band Aromattics are a 3-piece alternative band from Clarendon Park, Leicester. The band consists of Callum Goddin, 18, with Guitar and Lead Vocals, Michael Burnage, 18 on Bass and backing vocals and Jordan Birtles, 16 on Drums and backing vocals. The three members have a very wide range of influences from electronica to rock 'n' roll... and the Middle East to Kingston. The bands music particularly reflects the reggae, funk and punk influences.

Missing People

Formerly called Radio Collective, the band has re-named to Missing People, but still an excellent group of musical stars.

Third Time Lucky

This young trio from Coalville won a Battle of the Bands competition at the Shed on 1st July 2009. Lead singer Zack Whisehall has an x-factor quality and does better with his stage presence that many front men twice his age. Young and still a bit wet behind the ears musically, this band shows a lot of promise and could be going places once they get some flying hours under their belts.

Arms of Atlas

We started in the winter of 2008 from the demise of two local Leicester bands FreeFallFelix, Centauri and Milton Keynes based band Six Point Five.

Tyler, Ed, Sam, Jim and Mike set about to form a heavy rock band, with big guitar riffs, pounding drums and standout harmonising vocals whilst still 'serving the song' and that is what we think we have created!

We are constantly recording at our friends studio and rehearsing 3 to 4 times a week with the aim of having a debut c.d. out in the near future.

July is where its all kicking off for us with a week long tour with our good friends Exit Avenue and a run of our own dates to, including our first hometown headline show at the Shed on the 18th july!

Free Control

Five piece band drawings its influences from a range of bands including Pink Floyd, Faithless, Led Zeppelin, Radiohead and many others. They are set to play at the Summer Sundae festival this year and have also appeared at Glastonbudget 2009. Featuring Mike Sole on Keyboard.

Dead Slow

Bringing together the weirdness of Radiohead, the urgency of Muse, and the rough edges of Pavement, Leicester's Dead Slow generate their own twisted-but-tuneful sound that keeps your mind guessing and your ears ringing. Since forming in 2006, the band have been busy gigging up and down the country, playing anywhere and everywhere from strange small-town clubs to cult London venues like The Dublin Castle and The Hope & Anchor.

Weekend Schemers

A four piece indie/alternative band formed in 2009 and currently writing and recording new songs. See ouir reviews page and gig notes page for coverage of the band's gigs. Weekend Schemers were our band of the month for October 2009

Product Recall

Leicester heavy rock band formed in 2004. The five band members play hard rock and have an album coming out on 26th June that will be available on Amazon and iTunes and from Rockaboom Records in Leicester's St Martin's precinct.

Wild Olives

Featuring Pascal Mowla, a new folk rock band.

Deap People

Formed, we are told, by musicians from Ego Armalade, they already have a prestigious list of gigs over the summer and a really great set of songs.

Crisis Confirmed

Crisis Confirmed are a 6 piece Metal Band From Leicestershire, formed in late 2008. We are dedicated musicians who strive to make songs that are catchy and not easily forgettable to the listener. We all love making the music we do and are optimistic about any opportunities that may arise for us to share it with the general public. We are dedicated to providing a crushing live show that will be enjoyable for everyone. We appreciate any feedback given to us and look forward to gigging near you!!

The Waits

The Waits are an indie/new wave trio from Coalville. They are playing the first round heats of Surface Unsigned and the launch night of Roasted Recordings at the Time Bar in Leicester. They are now in our main bands listing.

The Flamonics - have now split up

Formed in October 2008, really quickly, the three band members met just the month before, whilst studying performing arts at college. They decided to put their instruments together and liked what came out. Within the space of three weeks they had written a full set of orignal songs and started gigging. They went out with the intention to entertain at gigs, because they knew they could, with a strong performance background. Influences are derived just from general people, funny people, actors, musical theatre actors, composers and son on. Next year, the band hopes to carry on having as much fun making the music and playing gigs and entertaining as many people as they can hopefully in increasingly bigger and better venues.

The Flamonics

Once bands have been on this list for a while they are transferred to our main listings.
