Danny Doney

Danny Doney is a Leicester singer/songwriter who has established himself on the local circuits and enchanting audiences with his vibrant performances, attractive songs and warm personality.

In October, Danny won the Battle of the Bands at the finals held at the Mandarin Lounge in Charles Street. His brand of melodic indie songs went down with the audience and won him the prize. A strong voice with good colour and modulation, vibrant guitar work and a performance with passion and commitment made him stand out as a top class vocal act.

He carried his work forward with presence and a solid dose of energy. As a songwriter he has talent, being able to write compelling lyrics that make his songs good to listen to and have an immediate appeal. Expressive, commanding stage work brings his singing to life and creatively he has an impressive range. He can attack strong passages with vigor and then relax into moments of quiet reflection with sensitivity and tenderness before springing back into a storming conclusion.
