All the artists appearing tonight are from Leicester/shire. This event is a showcase for up and coming local talent in the Urban Music genre. Sponsored by Arts in Leicestershire and NewBornz Entertainments.

Matthew R

Matthew is a singer, songwriter and performer. A rising star of the local music scene, he has made several appearances at local live shows.

Speedz

Seventeen year old Speedz is one of the UK's newest producers to emerge into the Dubstep scene. Speedz has been producing since the age of fifteen and has only recently since the age of seventeen began to start DJing. Already having a strong passion for music, Speedz is currently taking a National Diploma in Music Technology and is looking to expand this path even further. His hard work has only just started to pay off as Speedz is starting to perform at numerous gigs; a couple being in Loughborough and more to come within the near future in Leicester.

K.Y.

K.Y.  hails from Leicester and grew up listening to jungle, drum & base and grime. Citing Heartless Crew, Wiley and Pay As You Go as inspirations, K.Y. began writing music when he was 12.   Taking a more focused and serious approach to his music in the last couple of years, K.Y has made a name for himself with three Number one requested singles on Takeover Radio - 'Be With You Girl' , ' Don't Compare' and 'Follow Your Dreams.' Off the back of his success at Takeover Radio, K.Y Performed a number of times at Liquid & Envy (Leicester) which enabled him to open for an array of artists including Tinie Tempah.

Founded in 2010, Newbornz Kraftzmann (Dominick Hill), Ripperman (Jordan Bennett), Fusion( Lawrence Chaplin) and RdoubleG (Ross Haines).

Dancer Ryan Elson has performed at Artsin events before. His cool moves were a hit with the audience at our show last year.

The Rugged Sound System

The Rugged Sound System's performance at this year's GlastonBudget Festival was a spectacular hit. See our review of their set. Here at Artsin we have seen this band many times before and we absolutely love what they do. Great songs and a sizzling stage show, make them one of the top bands in Leicester/shire.

Show info

The show is open to people aged 16+. 16 to 21 years olds should bring photo id with them. Doors open at 6.30 p.m. and the show starts at 7 p.m. and will finish by 10.30 p.m.
