Artsin Launches its new Weekend Supplement

Our new Weekend Supplement goes live today.

What's it for?

Weekend will cover what happens in Leicester/shire from Friday through to Sunday, as the city and county takes it's leisure.

We don't want to give the impression that nothing happens midweek. Clearly it does, as the rest of the magazine shows. It's just weekends in the city (and in the surrounding county) are often particularly busy and full of fun.

What in it?

Weekend will have an emphasis on pictures. There will be a round up of shows, gigs, happenings, events, clubs nights, pretty much anything that Leicester/shire people have been up to in their leisure time.

Articles in the Supplement are aimed at the general reader. It might be that a reader is looking an art form with which they are not familiar, so we try to interpret and explain what we are reporting on.

There will also be in-depth interviews with prominent people, people snaps and profiles, chats with leading artists and much more content on leisure, giving it a wider field than the arts. So, the editorial team will be letting their hair down a bit more, except the editor in chief of course, who hasn't got any.

Expect to see livelier reporting, a wider range of reading matter and some great pics from our paparazzi who will be out looking for you, as you party.

Leicester isn't widely known for its celebrities but if we find any we will stalk them and we aim to create a few new ones.

We will be chasing what's hot and what's not. More emphasis on style and fashion. We'll be pointing our pens at people who matter. Chasing the best bands and entertainers, the best places and watching what's happening in Leicester's weekend scene.
